Case trainer

Nearly 5,000 cases. From every subject.

Short, everyday fact patterns, from a flea-market purchase to a police stop. You mark statements true or false and see the reasoning and the rule right away.

A student works on a laptop in an old reading room.

Each case has several statements, and many come with their own drawing. You mark the statements true or false by swiping like cards: right is true, left is false. After every answer you see the reasoning and the relevant rule.

The cases follow the structure of a legal analysis, statement by statement. Whatever you get wrong goes into the error log with the question “why were you off?”, and “Weak topics” lets you practise it again on purpose.

In “Challenge yourself” it gets harder: cases with four statements of which none, some or all are true, or questions you answer in your own words. First you rate how sure you are.

Why it works: Image and text lay down two memory traces. Remember the scene and you find the issue again. And cases come mixed, like the exam (Rohrer & Taylor 2007).
