What the SQE course covers
The course follows SQE1 for England and Wales. It covers the FLK1 subjects Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Contract Law, Tort, the Legal System of England and Wales, Legal Services and Constitutional and Administrative Law and EU Law, and the FLK2 subjects Property Practice, Wills and the Administration of Estates, Solicitors Accounts, Land Law, Trusts and Criminal Law and Practice. Ethics and professional conduct run through both parts.
Each subject has twelve lessons that build from the basics to exam traps. Practice exams run as timed multiple choice under exam conditions, the format of the real assessments. SQE2, the practical stage, is not covered.
Daily use
The course plan runs up to your exam date. The Today page shows the daily plan; Quick 10 reviews ten due flashcards in a few minutes; cases let you rate statements before you see the reasoning; and Lexxi, the AI tutor, explains rules and asks back. The single-best-answer format rewards careful reading, so the questions train you to find the detail that decides: whether a client is a consumer, whether a deadline has passed, whether money counts as client money.
Use the official SRA assessment information for dates, fees and rules, which Lexxington does not control.
Who benefits most
If you are on a law degree or a conversion course, use the course alongside lectures to review each subject soon after you meet it. If you are in the final months before SQE1, concentrate on weak topics and timed multiple-choice practice. If you trained in another country, the lessons on precedent and the legal system of England and Wales help you with the common-law method. The course complements a preparation provider’s materials and does not replace the official assessment information.
Good to know before you start
Do I need to have a law degree? The SQE does not require one, but the content assumes you have met the subjects; the lessons start from the basics. Does the course prepare me for SQE2? No. It covers the SQE1 multiple-choice assessments. Can I use it alongside a preparation course? Yes, many students use an app for daily retrieval practice next to a provider’s materials.
The official SRA information is the authority on dates, fees and rules. Read more on the United Kingdom course page and in the guide to how the SQE works.
A good start looks like this: you create your account, do one lesson on the first day and the first flashcards and cases on the second. After a week the review shows where you were unsure, and weak topics tell you what to revise next. The goal is a rhythm you can keep up until the exam, not a perfect first day.
