What the US course covers
The course covers the subjects tested on the bar exam: Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts including UCC Article 2, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Real Property and Torts, plus Business Associations, Conflict of Laws, Family Law, Secured Transactions, Trusts and Estates and Professional Responsibility. Each subject is a learning path of lessons that build on each other, for instance Evidence from the presentation of evidence through hearsay and its exceptions to the Confrontation Clause.
Practice exams run as timed multiple choice, and essays are written against the clock and graded on a scale from 0 to 100 following the IRAC structure. For California, the California codes are in the statute library.
Daily use
You choose your jurisdiction when you create your account, and the course plan runs up to your exam date. The Today page shows the daily plan. Quick 10 reviews ten due flashcards in a few minutes, cases let you rate statements before you see the reasoning and the rule, and Lexxi, the AI tutor, explains concepts and asks back. Rules you need cold, such as the hearsay exceptions, work well as flashcards; applying them is what the cases and essays are for.
The format of the bar exam is changing, and what applies to you depends on your jurisdiction. Check the rules of your state’s admission authority before you register, and use the course to build the subject knowledge every version tests.
Who benefits most
If you are in law school, use the course to review each subject shortly after your class. If you are already preparing for the bar, concentrate on weak topics and timed practice. If you come from another legal system, for example with an LL.M., the course helps you with common-law method and the vocabulary the exam expects. The course does not replace a full commercial bar review, and it does not replace the official materials of your jurisdiction.
Good to know before you start
Do I need to have finished law school? No, you can use the course during law school as well as after it. Is the course specific to my state? The core covers the subjects tested in many states; check your state’s admission authority for what applies to you. Does the course cover the MPRE? Professional Responsibility is part of the course as a subject; check the NCBE information for the exam format.
The app does not replace a full commercial bar review, and the official NCBE and state materials remain the authority on what is tested. Read more on the USA course page and in the guide to how the bar exam works.
A good start looks like this: you create your account, choose your jurisdiction, do one lesson on the first day and the first flashcards and cases on the second. After a week the review shows where you were unsure, and weak topics tell you what to revise next. The goal is a rhythm you can keep up until the exam, not a perfect first day.
